Hi, I’m Julia.

My name is Julia de Waal, I am a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant and owner of Sleepy Sleeps Co.

A little about me, I am a mother of a beautiful daughter and wife of a pilot. We lived in Alberta for 5 years before returning to my hometown in Russell, ON. We love to travel, hike, garden, and spend time with family! I have a diploma in early childhood education and am a Registered Practical Nurse. I have been working as a nurse since 2017.

In 2021, my entire world changed with the birth of my baby girl! As someone who loved sleep and to travel, I was terrified to start my journey into motherhood. My sister taught me about pediatric sleep training without crying it out! Once my daughter was trained, she travelled through times zones around the country and the world and managed sleep regressions since she was 4 months old. I knew I had to share with every mom I knew! So began my journey as a pediatric sleep consultant. It is my pleasure and joy to help you and your little one get a great night sleep and have a consistent schedule!

I do NOT believe in the cry it out method, there as so many other amazing methods to use and I love that I can tailor methods to best suit the child and family!
